What do I need to become a tutor?

Candidates must provide proof of their qualifications and also specific identity information. Also, background information specified by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) [formerly the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)]. We consider any applicant, because the main interest is your ability to tutor at a specialised level in the subject(s) you will be tutoring.

We really get a feel for the person in the interview and suitability for tutoring because personality is a huge factor.

Pay and hours:

Earn between £12 per hour and £50 per hour. The working hours are flexible and you can take work that suits your schedule.

While you’re working:

Keep track of all your clients using a timesheet. We will provide you with a timesheet for each of your students. Give this to us to receive your pay. This is very important.

All students are different and so, you may be asked to provide lesson plans or progress reports. This is not always the case, however we will include this information when presenting you with any vacancies.
